This project is the accumulation of 4 weeks of modeling/UVing the meshes in Maya and zBrush, texturing in Substance Painter, then compositing it all in Unreal Engine. I started with the table and then imported it into photoshop to create a simple layout that quickly became heavily influenced by my lore and worldbuilding.

This scene depicts what was left at the desk of a refugee who was attempting to escape his predicament through the moyeni realm. Although the man who is credited with most of the books in this scene has long since been killed, his prolific writing helped the owner of the table to flee this plane of existence. The etchings on the drawers are the last remaining clue as to where he might have gone, and why nobody should go looking for him. (There's way more going on in this scene but I'll continue this later)
